FEBRUARY:
As everywhere in Italy, carnival is very important and it is celebrated with great enthusiasm.  The parades of allegorical floats not to miss are the parade of Sciacca and the parade of Acireale, one of the most important of Italy. Between the first and the second Sunday of February takes place the Blossomed Almond trees Fest  in Agrigente with an International folklore event. On the 4th and 5th February, Catane celebrates its Patron Saint, Santa Agata.

APRILE:
Beautiful processions take place during the holy week in the whole Island. The most famous processions are: “A Maronna vasa vasa” in Modica, “A Paci” in Comiso, the processions of the holy week in Enna, “La Reale Maestranza” in Caltanissetta, “The dance of the devils” in Prizzi and “the processions of the mysteries” in Trapani

MAI:
May is the month of flowering. Do not miss “l’Infiorata” in Noto and “La Scala Infiorita” (the flowered stairs) in Caltagirone. In Syracuse takes place the famous festival of classical shows in the Greek theater.

JULY:
On the 4th and the 5th of July, Palerme celebrates her Patron Saint: Santa Rosalia, a celebration of the city's much loved and venerated patron saint, who is paraded through the old town centre from the Cathedral to the sea. As the procession finishes, the fireworks begin . On the 14th and the 15th July, Castellammare del Golfo celebrates her patron saint: La Madonna del Soccorso, with a procession on the sea, concerts and fireworks. SEPTEMBER:
The Sicilian Puppets Theater (opera dei pupi siciliani): on the square of the castle of the Conti di Modica, in Alcamo, every Wednesday at 18.00 o'clock and during the whole summer will take place the famous Sicilian Puppets shows. History, passion and entertainment will be the topics of these spectacles. Do not miss, the farce of ´Virticchio e Nofrio´. Panecunzatu Fest in Scopello (trapani) on the 1st week-end of September: The famous "panino", gastronomic specialty of Scopello, is celebrated with tasting sessions and music in the delightful village. To see our villas and holiday houses in Scopello, see the section "Seaside villas”.
Pistachio Fest in Bronte (Catane) from in mid-September: The Sicilian green gold is celebrated in Bronte, on the slope of the mount Etna.
In mid-September in Cefalu: 35 traditional ice-cream producers coming from all over the world introduce the tastes that better reflect their own territory: It is the Sherbeth Festival, the international festival of  traditional ice-creams. This festival takes its name from “Sherbeth”, an Arab word which defined “granulated sherbet” produced in Sicily during the Arab domination of the IX century. In mid-September in San Vito lo Capo takes place the feast of the capone and which is called  «Tempuricapuna». DECEMBER:
Christmas in Sicily: During the whole month of December up to the 8th of January are presented beautiful naivity scenes (“presepi”). One of the most intriguing nativity scenes on the island is the “Presepe Vivente” in Custonaci, between Trapani and San Vito lo Capo
